We’re now at an inflection point. Cubby Beds is expanding operations, launching new products, entering new markets, and facing complexities that demand dedicated operational leadership. This is why we are searching for a Chief Operating Officer (COO). We’re seeking a proven executive who can merge strategy and execution to lead us through this critical growth stage on our mission to help 100,000 families.
This Is Where You Come In
As COO and a key member of the executive team, you will be the operational engine that ensures our vision translates into seamless execution. You will own the P&L, drive cross-functional alignment, and empower our leadership team to operate at their highest level.
Your job is to translate complex, cross-functional opportunities and challenges into clear, executable plans, empowering the team to drive them forward. You will report directly to the CEO and be the right-hand partner in leading and building a category-defining company.
What You’ll Own & Drive
The P&L & Day to Day Execution
Translate the long term strategic vision into actionable plans and ensure their successful execution.
Balance revenue growth with cost management to ensure Cubby meets (or exceeds) its financial targets.
Cross-Functional Leadership & Talent Empowerment
Directly oversee Growth (Marketing, Sales, Market Access) and Operations (Supply Chain, Regulatory & Quality, Support), fostering seamless alignment across teams.
Lead our Executive and Leadership team meetings and foster clear communication and consistency across the organization.
Mentor and empower department heads, cultivating high-performing teams with a culture of excellence, velocity, and accountability.
Drive Revenue & Execution
Lead expansion execution into new products, markets, and partnerships, ensuring initiatives meet growth targets and our operations to support this growth are on time and on budget.
Own revenue predictability, aligning demand with supply chain and support scalability.
Operational Excellence & Scalable Systems
Implement and refine the Cubby Operating System, based on the Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS).
Drive the operating cadence of the business composed of team planning sessions, offsites, and OKRs.
Optimize processes in manufacturing, logistics, and customer service, identifying and deploying tools and automation essential for rapid growth.
Establish scalable, repeatable frameworks for product launches, market expansion, and strategic partnerships.
Partner Strategically with the CEO
Serve as the CEO's trusted partner in translating vision into execution, guiding strategic decisions, resource allocation, and long-term growth planning.
Enable the CEO to focus on high-impact initiatives across the departments reporting to them including Product, Finance, and People.
Ideal Candidate Profile
Proven operator with 10+ years scaling startups from ~$25M to $100M
Generalist executive with revenue roots, capable of driving commercialization and operational excellence across complex, cross-functional environments.
Experience in owning the P&L to drive execution across the major areas of the business.
Passion for execution, translating strategic vision into clear, repeatable, high-efficiency processes.
Experienced mentor and leader, able to empower department heads, foster autonomy, and develop high-performing teams with clear accountability.
Cross-functional alignment expert, comfortable driving collaboration across multiple teams.
Experience in regulated industries, particularly med-tech, healthcare, pharma, space, defense, robotics, or fintech is a strong plus.
Systems-focused operator, comfortable implementing EOS, OKRs or similar operational frameworks to structure and accelerate organizational growth.
Right-hand partner to the CEO, thriving in the balance between day-to-day execution and long-term strategic planning.
